USA is a lot more diverse than the Netherlands and these are broad population averages. N-America has a lot of short Hispanics, Asians and ethnically Southern and Eastern Europeans who tend to be smaller than NW Europeans. These all supress the average. The mainly Anglo Saxon, Nordic and Germanic whites in the USA are probably just a little smaller than the Dutch.
