It's better than living in a dorm but no it's not based. I'm doing it now during study seasons because I NEET'ed for 4 years without autismbuxx and was forced to do something, and I can hear my upstairs neighbors fucking every night. I also have to hear normies partying outside my apartment all the time.

I lived in a dorm during my freshman and sophomore years at university and hated it. After that, I moved to my own apartment (specifically NOT one of those apartment complexes that caters to students), but one that had a mix of all age groups. I liked the feeling of independence, and it was refreshing not to have Chad and Stacy's parties shoved in my face 24/7.
