When we're young we get asked about our height,what type of phone we got and if we don't have an iPhone we won't be let in certain groups, everyone has there own cliques. I tend to think that there are different paradigms of consciousness in which we arrive. Yes, our natural needs do not go away, we want to eat, drink and get physical contact with the opposite sex. But the focus itself is most often determined by other factors. My personal point of view is that with the help of certain control mechanisms, certain people place us (or try to place us) in this very paradigm of a lower "animal" existence, devoid of spiritual research and the need for higher matters.I try to avoid things like "competition", self-affirmation and so on in every possible way. They only led me to self-destruction.
