I went to this charity event for kids with deformities, and it was a total DISASTER. I showed up—FAT, FIERCE, and FABULOUS—in a custom glittering gown, ready to SLAY, and what do I get? TINY CHAIRS. ONE LEAF OF KALE. VIBES THAT SCREAMED “YOU DON’T BELONG HERE.” Everyone was crying over these kids like they’re the only people who struggle. EXCUSE ME??? Have they EVER been laughed at for breaking a chair? Told to “watch their portions” at a buffet? BEEN FAT-SHAMED JUST FOR EXISTING?? I DON’T THINK SO. So I STOOD UP, FLIPPED A TABLE, and YELLED that WEIGHTISM is the REAL oppression no one talks about! All those other “-isms”? You think they’re worse? TRY BEING FAT IN THIS WORLD. When security tried to drag me out, I GRABBED THE MIC and kept shouting the truth. They cut the mic—WHATEVER. My voice was LOUDER. I WILL NOT BE SILENCED. I’m not sorry. I’M RIGHT. I’D DO IT AGAIN.
