I think that type of thinking is old mentality tbh. And it worked decades ago tbh. The whole point of kicking your child out is if it was a daughter it would aim her towards settling down and getting married ASAP so she can have a husband take care of her. If you had a son it was to kick him in the ass and make him have some drive so he could grab life by the balls and be successful. But in 2020 none of that works and I honestly don't see too many people having that kind of mentality anymore.
