It's sad how much social life changes after you end your childhood, I remember my best friend as a kid and early teen, we were equals made by each other, now he doesn't talk with me anymore because he became popular, has new friends at his social level is just different, he is a chad who has fucked more than 20 women, he isn't a social outcast like me.
The same happened with all my childhood friendships. When you grow social hierarchies start to matter, they just perceive when you are a subhuman outcast and slowly start trying to avoid you, they never invite you to their group activities, you eventually lose your friendships, lookism start to matter, if you had friends as a kid, they will eventually left you behind. They find girlfriends and new friends and forget you. You will realize how you just don't fit in with people of your age.
