To name a few:
  • Milo and Sophie in The Transfiguration- Autistic black manlet hooks up with a white prostitute twice his height
  • Anthony Jr. and Puerto Rican Stacy in The Sopranos- Tubby boy faced caucasian manlet bangs latina Stacy without making any move
  • Omar Little and all his boyfriends in The Wire- Homosexual street thug attracts homosexual men willing to join him in violent criminal activities
What other relationships in film or tv are ridiculously unrealistic?

Parks and Recreation: Attractive and nihilistic Aubrey Plaza falls for tall but dumb as bricks normie. Wait... Maybe that's not so unbelievable... Okay, attractive, friendly, and successful nurse/public official Rashida Jones gets "worn down" into dating Aziz Ansari, currycel manlet with a failed business and no work ethic.

Friends: David Schwimmer, tall with borderline between normie and incel face nerd who works at a museum, gets with the Staceyest of Staceys, Jennifer Anniston as a waitress. Maybe height IS everything? Is that what TV is telling us?

Curb Your Enthusiasm: Balding, cynical oldcel comedy writer has a decently attractive and young Stacey as a wife. Could be statusmogging but c'mon.

every shitty "coming of age" story that has stacy fall for the self-insert beta protagonist

Glenn and his Pregnant girlfriend in the walking dead, no way would a girl as hot as that ever go for a chadlite asian guy.

Blanca was very forward with AJ, she wanted his betabux and reflected notoriety from his dad. Poor guy was a simp though.

With Larry and Cheryl, it's been hinted that she is a gold-digger. LD is supposedly worth hundred of millions.

Ross and Rachel would never have hooked up IRL, definitely so after the internet boom.

I guess one that I would add is Odo and Kira on Deep Space Nine. It's hard to believe he would escape the cursed Friend Zone after all those years of unrequited love.

The Wire was a great show and Omar the coolest character. And it was exactly that "coolness" that made him stick out like a sore thumb and didn't really fit into the show. The show had a realistic, grim feel about it - but I think Omar, his trenchcoat and the shotguns, whistling a trademark melody when he goes around shooting folk together with this gay buddies etc. - this was a total meme character. He really felt like someone the writers came up with after the producers pressured them to build in an edgy GTA-like meme character, to make the show less depressingly realistic.
