A lot of people think that incels are just insecure about their looks. Sometimes this is the case but for me it certainly isn't. Insecurity is associated with lack of certainty, I do not lack such certainty. I do not hate how I look, but that doesn't mean anything. How I feel about my looks does not change how others perceive me. My perception and opinion of myself contains neither benefit or harm towards myself.
When male models hate how they look that is insecurity. When bodybuilders hate their body that is insecurity. Me thinking I am objectively ugly is not insecurity because there's no emotions attached there, it is but a statement of fact.
Saying we're insecure is just an utter dismissal of our problems, as if we just have negative self-perception. In truth we are negatively perceived.
