Came to this conclusion a while ago. It's all women's neuroses, given agency, that are destroying South Korea (and the rest of Asia similarly). Asian men caught in the intergenerational crossfire of mothers-in-law versus daughters-in-law. And despite getting so far, the writer can't make the leap that the problem is contained entirely within women cyclically. A generation later, those daughters-in-law will be the same mothers-in-law wanting their own cut.
