I have a theory;
One component is a support network consisting of friends, family, a lover, dependent children that keeps them going, basically they have things to look forward to & a reason to run maintenance to keep it all, i.e making money to pay for that upkeep.
The other thing is a yearning to be around other humans, a Neurotypical system of "charging" up as it were through interactions with others, energy is flowing inwards & outwards with each participant of the social interaction akin to breathing oxygen in & exhaling carbon dioxide that the trees then take in & turn back to oxygen, a cycle of exchange is happening; they feel like they belong to the tribe, one of the in-group.
Autistic folk on the other hand instead of charging up only get worn down due to energy being absorbed by the other party but nothing coming back in, the exchange is one sided & broken. The NT knows something is wrong but can't isolate what exactly, the Autist is an outsider, not part of the tribe, outcast.
The only way this is tolerated is if the attractiveness level of the Autist is above a certain threshold, they're still inferior to their looksmatched NT counterparts but the attraction halo allows them through the door so to speak.
If you're an ugly Autist you better be a savant at something; leaving others in awe, benefitting them while not openly holding any viewpoint that doesn't fit into the politically correct construct otherwise you'll be painted as the bad guy & universally hated.
If you don't fit into either of those categories you're seen as genetic filth unless you're female jfl.
Something to add, the difference between a self isolating Autist & outgoing sperg is generally decided by the way said individual was treated by other humans early on in life, negative or not.
