Aye its fuckin extortionate everywhere mate. The uk especially puts an onus on house owner ship. While our parents could by a house for 15k 30 years ago that same house would cost well over 100k now. Its fuckin bullshit. We live in a time of shitty job prospects and the mother of all recessions is just around the corner. Our generation is gonna be so much poorer than the previous one and will have to continue working well past retirement age. I fuckin hate boomers. They can't even comprehend how easy that had it compared to us.
Well said. Plus they took EVERYTHING and left is nothing. They took the best jobs, cheap land, cheap houses, all the retirement funds, they really left us with nothing.
In the uk there is a triple lock on the state pension which means the pension increases each year on whichever is the highest of inflation, average earnings growth or 2.5 per. These people get that ontop of their private pension and most of them own their own homes. The government says they're not going to touch this system. Meanwhile us workers are paying for their pension and will be hit with a tax hike to pay the massive debts accrued due to Corona.
