Just completed The Witcher 2 and I remembered why I liked this saga so much

Played The Witcher 3 in 2016 and have amazing memories from it, absolutely loved that game and its lore, for a while I was obsessed with it and it even motivated me to read the books. Recently I bought The Witcher 2 for very cheap (3€ on black friday sales) and just completed it, yes it's more limited and linear than the sequel but if you like RPG games it's still very good. The story is so dark and gritty, the monsters you fight are kewl and you have to take several decisions that have real impact on the ending of the game.

The combat in the beginning was unforgiving but when I got the hang of it and leveled up a bit I was unstopabble and slashed everything with my two swords (iron for humans, silver for monsters) or used my spells on them :feelsLSD::feelsLSD::feelsLSD::feelsLSD::feelsLSD::feelsLSD::feelsLSD::feelsLSD:Also you get to fuck a hot redhead sorceress and a blonde tomboy soldier with tattoos :feelsohh::feelsohh::feelsohh::feelsohh::feelsohh::ahegao::ahegao::ahegao:

Hopefully The Witcher 1 remake is good because they say the first game has aged terribly and even in 2007 it felt outdated. I think I have it in my Gog account (got it for free for the 10th anniversary of the game IIRC) but never played it due to its bad reviews.

I was going to play it a year ago after finishing Witcher 3. But I still need to finish the last dlc.

I was going to do this too but I was afraid I would keep comparing it to the sequel all the time and it would be a negative experience. I forgot almost everything about TW3 gameplay so I think this has helped me enjoy TW2 more. Still even considering the improvements made in the sequel, The Witcher 2 hasn't aged nearly as poorly as the first part. The potion crafting system is a bit more annoying, the menus sometimes feel very sluggish and weird (this is the worst part IMO) and the combat is more unforgiving but still a great game.

Btw the last TW3 DLC is soooo good, some ppl even consider it better than the main quest. I disagree but still loved that DLC, it adds a shitton of content (armors, weapons, new skills, a new map to explore, etc.) and it's very long with different endings too. Back when CD Projekt Red wasn't a terrible company.

I think I will finish it but after I finish all of the metal gear solid games. I really enjoyed basically everything about Witcher 3 so definitely need to finish it finally.
