I have a few cold steel ones and a united cutlery one. My katana has distal taper and cuts live wood up to 3/4 inch.

When I first stared buying swords I got shitty stainless steel ones. They all bent and broke.

It's easy to sharpen them. But you have to be careful of the edge angles.

well a samurai sword wound be a good start because its so light the higher end ones that will not crack are around 100 to 300
