My biggest insecurity is being ever so slightly mixed race to the point where people can't tell if I'm white or not (most people think I'm jewish). It makes a big difference. I never fit in anywhere since people around here have racially homogeneous cliques. Too white for the black kids and too black for the whites and i'm not even a mulatto or a quadroon(1/8th) I just have curly hair, brown eyes, and tan instead of burning instantly seperating me from all the white people here.
