At the age of 42, and looking back in hindsight, I'd say that the goth subculture has diminished, there are probably no goth meetups in my city anymore.

I have hung out with one (& a few more), it involved drinking, listening to certain types of music and going out a lot at night, even visiting graveyards. (this was in my mid 20's)

It was probably the best time of my life, too bad that the emo subculture kinda diminished the goth subculture. I'm pretty sure that that was what killed it, back in the early 2000's you could find what seemed like goth girls online, but they were actually emo's/

Those goths from back in the day are probably urban professionals now that look like normies, but may dress up a bit for special occasions.
