After six years of continuous operation and 5,800 articles published, I’m putting ROK on an indefinite hiatus so I can take a break from the daily grind of maintaining the site. I don’t know when the hiatus will end.
The first factor for this hiatus is that site revenues are too low. We’ve been banned from Paypal and countless ad partners, which forced me to lay off the site editor last year and also lower payments to regular contributors. This started a negative spiral of declining content quality, site traffic, and revenues. Even the beloved comments section, which many see as the highlight of ROK, was badly hit when Disqus banned us. Currently, ROK receives half the traffic of its peak and less than one-fifth of the income.
The second factor is that I’m burned out. Keeping ROK updated, writing books, posting articles on my blog, doing live streams, and maintaining the forum has put too much on my plate. Out of everything on that list, working on ROK has become my least favorite activity because duties are centered more around editing other people’s work than creating my own.
I’m sure many of you understand that we are in the early stages of a censorship wave that will sweep through society. Scoundrels like myself get banned first, and then soon the hammer will come down on anyone who dares to share the truth.

I never loved his content, but he was so badly misrepresented by the media he had my sympathy. Sounds like he has good reasons for shutting it down, and why do we need it? Similar sites and communities appear every week. PUAs have never been a rare breed, and ones of ROK flavour are now well established.

I thank him for his work, and hope he finds something more rewarding.

Roosh is the only PUA with an IQ and an honesty above room temp. He's pretty much fully blackpilled on looks and hypergamy. It's sad that he's getting banned while authentic PUA scammers are left selling their poison to ugly men.

RoK was pretty much a dumpster fire tbh. While I enjoyed reading Roosh's articles there, all the other contributors were merely writing baits and trolls to drive up traffic. The field reports from PUA larpers were also difficult to read.

If Roosh keeps getting banned everywhere and doesn't manage to invest his money efficiently, he may soon have to go back to working as a biochemist. That's pretty sad, because he could be a good writer and commentator on gender issues.

Too bad he couldn't capitalize on his invite to Dr Oz show and become a troll TV personality like the Bogdanoff Brothers.

There are two types of pedo/zoocels.

(1) The type who are anonymous, so who knows if they're really incel or not; and
(2) The type who have revealed their identities, because their lives are so fucked up they have nothing to lose. I.e., they really are incel, and they figure they might as well also be open about their pedo/zoo tendencies, because why not.

There was a golden era of RoK, maybe peaking around 2016, but as Roosh noted, he ended up in a downward spiral of declining quality. By 2018, the site was starting to lose relevance, with the rise of the alt-right, which mostly pedestalized white women and rejected him for being "degenerate" and non-white.

The Roosh V Forum also has some classic threads, but activity there too seems to be falling off. It was only late in the game that they began to be able to deal with racial issues without descending into a flamewar, because he was trying to combine a multiracial and multicultural community (for the discussion of game, which spans racial lines) with a pro-nationalism, pro-patriarchy community (to oppose the "globohomo" agenda and support traditional sex roles), even though old-school nationalism tends to be tied up somewhat in race, and even though gaming girls (by players, anyway) is often to participate in their degeneracy. There started to be some contradictions.
