Notice the presupposition here that negotiating with Russia would lead to war, when the current lack of negotiation is nothing if not a consequence of the war in Ukraine!

Does the OP not understand the irony in criticizing other people for allegedly treating war as an abstraction, while he does exactly this? Hundreds of thousands of men have died in Ukraine and Russia over the past few years.

So Germany negotiating with Russia again would obviously be a sign of detente, and quite a welcome development to anybody who favors peace

But from the warped perspective of the OP, drunken with the WWII trope of "muh appeasement," the improvement of relations with another country so as to negotiate with them for economic resources in exchange for say, a peace settlement, is nothing but a prelude to a wider conflict.

Do these people actually think that Russia would attack NATO and trigger nuclear conflict? Do they not understand that Ukraine is in Russia's direct sphere of influence, unlike their countries?

Most normie Krauts have this religious obsession with their pesudo-constitution and liberal values. If a country does not represent their values then said country is a shithole that'll start irrational wars, because to them their set of preconceptions is self evident. Meanwhile they are forced to ignore logic because the burden of proof is a thing and objective morality also needs to be proven.
