However you're right, many mediterranean Southern Europeans looks exotic (even Banderas in my opinion) but they're still white since their genetics is entirely (or almost entirely) European differently than Levantine and Middle Eastern meds who are mixed with Arab/Semitic genetics since an ancient age. Indeed I was really surprised when I found out that Iberians, who on average are quite swarthy, are genetically less Levantines and more Europeans even than Northern Italians.
Besides that, I agree that Northwestern Europeans are on average more attractive than Southern Europeans since they're more likely to have more masculine traits like strong jaw and bones, hunter eyes, good frame and tall height.

I just stated a genetic fact, but as I said before it's quite common to find ethnic Southern Europeans even if they are genetically white. In my opinion even Antonio Banderas and Cristiano Ronaldo are a good example of white mediterraneans who would be seen as ethnics among a crowd in USA.
