The flesh here between the top of my chest to my chin is not fat, it's tendons, muscles and shit.

It's like my throat is too short. I remember I was embarrassed by that as a kid already but it's only recently that I started to question it. Is it a genetic anomaly, a developmental defect or what ?

Maybe you have had bad posture for a long time and your bones adjusted to it? I just tried the same thing as you and I can get it fairly straight.

I've had bad posture indeed but as I said I remember being very self aware about it since childhood. I just don't think it was acquired after birth. I suspect either a genetic anomaly or an incident in utero.

Please consider posting a similar photo as mine for comparison.
