ive never had this before and now it wont go away since then. once i started taking them i got this happening so i told my parents and they told the doctors who gave me other pills which were supposed to help but they did nothing and i took 3 of them a day.

You’re grinding your teeth in your sleep if it’s chipped. The meds could be causing it and either caused your TMJ joint to slip or it’s inflamed. Does your jaw look aligned? Mine is crooked as fuck due to orthodontist work. Best part, TMJ isn’t curable. Clown world

Get off whatever jewpill they have you on if possible. I’d see an oral/maxillofacial surgeon who specializes in TMJ if possible. They’ll be able to treat you. In the mean time take something like magnesium glycinate to stop grinding in your sleep as much or a mouthguard.
If they care, tell them it’s making your jaw more painful. But definitely seek treatment. Every time that jaw clicking sound is made, over time the joint will degrade. Once it’s “bone on bone” it becomes more painful. Try eating soft/liquid foods for now

I used to have it too, its mostly cause of using your bite muscles too much, try to do some stretches and massage it, and try to chew more with the other side.
dentist said it was a mix of high stress and lack of sleep that made me grind my teeth in my sleep which caused my jaw muscles and tendons to overexert themselves because my jaw is uneven (the left lower jaw joint slips out of place when I open my mouth)
yeah but I've had that since way before my first flare up. my dentist also said it has to do with the damage and inflammation of the general area. they might try to tell you the pain is in your head from the medication but any dentist will be able to confirm there is an underlying cause for it. if I were to guess you have an underlying reason for your tmj and the meds triggered your first flare up
It’s not damaged per se. if TMJ was curable, tinnitus would follow. I started getting 24/7 headaches a month ago. Pretty sure my jaw locked after months of just tinnitus and some ear clogging feeling/pain occasionally. This shit all started years after getting braces off and which I suspect to be the reason. Orthodontist will try to deflect and even if I could prove they caused it, legal action is useless because TMJ doesn’t have a cause. JFL at modern medicine. It’s sui inducing thinking I will suffer for the rest of my life. Between the pain, neurological issues, and overall lifestyle changes, my quality of life has significantly decreased making it harder to cope with loneliness

Let me reiterate. The so called “researchers” don’t know what the cause is. I’m well aware of the reason. Notice how all the “treatment” plans are 50/50. “Well we can give you a splint BUT…it could make your jaw worse”, “Well surgery is an option BUT symptoms are likely to return”, “well you can go to this specialist, go here, go there….”. No one knows shit. If they could 100% pinpoint the cause they could work on a cure. Such a stupid disorder that causes so much pain. I literally have shoulder, neck, back pain too jfl

It’s an extremely complex structure. It’s also not as prominent and only a small number of people have it who are in pain/discomfort.
