Videogames, tv, even our articles are designed now to be used on top of or alongside something else so they can't bother you. But in other parts it is also due to how we are conditioned from our experiences online. Experience with people saying that things are too long makes people not want to read long things. As for you, well I'm making this long deliberately, get cucked motherfucker. Books that last longer also are read less thoroughly. Now, that's not to say that people don't read books, but rather less often. There's so many options vomited up at us nowadays that people simply don't do it as much. Millenials do read a lot of books, moreso then their boomer counterparts, but it's still not much. No, we'd rather do so many things all at the same time. It also serves to make autisticels who are better at hyperfocusing even more distanced from "normal people", if you will divulge me in calling them that.
