This is a 3 week old story that I should have made actually 3 weeks ago but didnt. And its actaully about my HVAC class. 3 weeks ago I did a test and because the class rotation is broken, my final (and current) quarter teaches the HVAC basics. So for my final quarter I was in a begginers class from the broken rotation.
Well regardless new class new students. But heres the thing. My trade school wont let you do any HVAC class without doing Electrical. For me I did CBE101. Many others did MEC 102/103. Well in these classes CBE/MEC you learn about electricity and how to use a multimeter. A extemly basic and common tool for electrical or HVAC and probably many other trades.
Well heres the main point to this. Most of the student in my class are begginers for the HVAC class. And that day I finished my test at that time 10 minutes before everyone else. And as I was sitting already done I over saw somone doing there test (all the tests in that class are done via computer or your personal laptop). And since its a begginers class on of the qustions ask "Name the basic functions of a MultiMeter"... This one student opened a 2nd fucking tab and googled basic functions of a multimeter...
The further back I go the worst it gets. A week before that one of the only 2 foids was with a group observing a AC demonstrator device and my instructor asked the class to demonstrate how to mesure amperage with the clamp meter. This one foid almost shocked her self. She was about to put prong from the clamp meter on a live fucking circut. I had to stop her and show her how the use the fucking clamp to mesure it so she dont shock herself. And theres this other foid who keeps asking "whats that?" to all these things. Explaining it 3 times to her isnt enough at least the other students who ask me for help can fucking listen.
And the a week ago somthing just pathetic happend. IDK who but the class has tools so students can learn how to use them and do HVAC work incase they didnt bring there own. Well I seem to be less and less motivated to bring my own tools so I dont end up like the tool cabnet. My instructor rants about how tools keep getting misplaced, how people steel them. Students are stealing tools meant to educate the masses of the fucking class.
Now for the cherry on top. Part of HVAC and somtimes plumbing is brazing shit together. Today was a lesson on brazing copper on steel piping. Thankfully I didnt get flux on my fingers but almost did. There was another HVAC instructor who called out the class Im in because on of the student brazed with zero eye protection. Not even normal glasses. Just eyes waiting to but torch freid. The other instructor was kinda a cool person and is probably one of the smartest HVAC people I personally met in my life.
Ill admit. Im not made of gold. Im not a perfect student. I spend more time on facebook then I should be. But at least I fucking learn and use my head. I get in the game when I can. I PTFO when I can. I try to get gud at HVAC. And to be surrounded by dumb fuckers just, blasts me. It reverse mogs me. They may have pussy or wife's or kids. But I dont feel mogged a single bit when they have the brains of fucking robots.
And then I hear complaints on youtube about lack of good plumbers, electritians or doctors. Shits all fucked up. What the fuck is happending to this world? But I want to make a bigger point. A carear is almost like a marraige to your income. If you want to thrive in it then you gotta commit to it. Getting a degree deosnt mean shit if you dont learn a fucking thing. You gotta "get gud" by embracing what your trying to learn. If your gonna sign up for a class and you dont commit to it, what the fuck are you paying for?
