1. “If you ever treat a lady like that, then you’re not a real man.”
This is where my belief stopped being suspended. I believe she’s framing us as people who get girlfriends, don’t like them, and then “complain” about it all the time. When in reality, this space, this community, is about teaching ourselves and others about what people try to lie to us about every single day, how to identify it, and how to avoid it.
2. “We would get thrown off of a ship if we complained as much as we do.”
Yeah, you would, because you’re in the fucking Navy or the Marines during the middle of World War 2, not living in civilian life. Like nigga are we serious? And let’s not forget, when people mean “men aren’t supposed to complain” they really just mean “You’re a man, put up with my bullshit because you’re supposed to.”
3. “He earned everything he had, he’s a part of the golden generation that incels dream of.”
Although some aspects of like the 1920’s (I’m assuming that’s when he was born) were very nice, in terms of most things, besides the housing crisis, rising conflicts between nations, the homelessness crisis caused by the housing crisis, constant threats of nuclear war, government shutdowns, and a few other things I’m still forgetting, 2025 is the best era to live in, by far. And I’m not going to deny his hard work for what he earned, congratulations to him. And that going back part is stupid, I would never trade going back to a time with cheaper houses and polio than to the one we have right now.
4. “He lost his wife, yet he’s still cheerful”
Not much on this, that’s a strong man right there, I congratulate him for keeping it together.
5. “I would love to see how an incel would navigate the 1920-1940s”
Sorry to tell you this, but most incels right now wouldn’t be incels. They’d just be normal people, the reason we’re incels today is because of the rising facial standards that we just can’t keep up with. Sorry to say this but you can’t bullshit your way out of something logistically proven.
