I wonder what is to blame for the conduct of this or that nation? Is it genetics or culture and traditions? The Germans' penchant for authoritarianism, total law-abiding, and obedience to their superiors had been cultivated in them since the 18th century, and then Prussia simply took over the rest of the German states and began to exert the same influence on them.

i live in elsass ( east part of france ) and the people here are ethnically and culturally german (even if they tend to be sneakier and more backstabbier than real germans) , the mentality is really that one they are litteraly happy slaves and only think about work on top of being snakes that will betray you in the smallest occasion i have never met more vile people , the real french tend to be better people from what i have seen they tend to be friendlier and more chill/kind. They take more pleasure in pleasing their boss than themselves.
