No you aren't seen as innocent but a useful object to virtue signal because people like to pretend to care about the youth. When really they only care to indoctrinate them like an zealous person might, blackpilled incels committed to a cause and non-blackpilled incels comitted to a cuase are alike in this way.

Plus there is some allure and fear about angry young males in society because such males are seen as responsible for a lot of violence and uncertainty but also potential to the life blood of movements and revolutions.

In contrast oldcels are just seen as old losers who are out of time and have one foot in the grave. Unless they act violently they are irrelevant. If they act violently they are despised and people call for them to be put to death or to rot in prison.

There have been a lot of stories in the media about how middle-aged men in America are killing themselves though so maybe as the generation that the media is obsessed with (Milennials; probably because they are one of the last generations that remembers a more prosperous orderly time that a lot of powerful people want memoryholed) gets older there will be some amount of attention focused obsessing on the state of middle-aged men unlike before.
