I'm not complaining but I literally haven't seen anything promoting valentines day anywhere. I swear it used to be a bigger thing in the past or maybe I just don't pay attention no more.
The only exception to this was the other day when this young black kid at my uni approached me with this valentines day event for singletons. I think it was some sort of church thing (I looked up the name of the organisation and it was some Nigerian church) and they were going to talk about love, sex, and relationships, as if I'd torture myself with that. It's deffo just some scheme to recruit lonely young people, even they would struggle to find someone to partner me up with.
It seems like more young people are single than ever and we don't want the whole valentines thing shoved down our throats.
How has it been for you guys? Noticed anything different?
