Vaporwave is one of the most interesting and obscure genres I've come across, and its subculture has always stuck out with me. There was a period when normies attempted to coopt it and tried to make their own lazy compilations, but their shitty remixes only gained traction for a couple of months before the genre went underground again. In spite of its modern unpopularity I'm convinced that it has the potential to appeal to incels or wizards who love to reminisce about times gone by where life was simpler and the globohomo mentality wasn't widespread. I guess the general feeling of nostalgia and desolation conveyed by the decadent art style and the slowed down mixes is what resonated with me the most, and although I'm aware that it has been previously contaminated by normies, I keep going back to Internet Radios to listen to the genre to ease my mind when I'm feeling slightly melancholic.
