Wow, good theory. I can totally imagine that only people at the peak of happiness have to go to extremes like bungee-jumping to feel special joy. Whereas for me, a mere hug would probably feel like crack.
It just means you have low dopamine. Doesn't play into IQ at all. I am a massive dopamine junkie and it's not fun, especially since I barely leave my goddamn house.
Most "chads" who do those kind of things are usually doing it to seem cool for others, rather than for themselves.

I ran into traffic once, lol. I nearly got arrested for causing accidents that day. 
I would deem it low IQ, especially if you gain nothing more than a dopamine rush
