If you can put your finger through your palm, you're dreaming. If you can't, you're not dreaming.

The problem with lucid dreaming is after waking up it feels too surreal for it to feel like it even happened. I get sleep paralysis frequently and it feels sort of similar after snapping out of it. I know it happened but after it's over it never makes any major impact.
