my headphones seem to pick up static from the devices im charging especially in close proximity. I dont even have them connected, how tf does this work?

seems legit, just didnt expect headphones being capable of picking up stuff like thatIt's probably just a signal, different types of waves are everywhere, something is probably interfering with your headphones.
