I spent the whole day today going through the doctors at the military enlistment office. In theory, they shouldn't take me, because I have scoliosis, poor eyesight and flat feet. But this humiliating ritual of sitting in queues for doctors at medical examinations with a bunch of normals just makes me sick.

What's the point of that? First, you will be sent through a bunch of doctors, then you will be called up and randomly sent to a random regiment or branch of the armed forces, and then if you are unlucky and moral scum will serve with you, who will bully you, humiliate you and you will put up with it for several years, since you cannot leave the army prematurely. otherwise, you will go to jail as a military evader.

I’m speaking from a comfortable situation as my country is currently not in war, but:
1. I don’t have any skills and I’m socially maladjusted. I’m pretty much only capable of jobs where my boss tells me exactly what to do and I just do it.
2. I don’t have any big aspirations so at least I’d at least be occupied with something.
3. I’d get paid. Not much, but I’d get by with it.
If a war breaks out, we’d be fucked obviously as the defence capabilities of Hungary are close to zero, especially against a country like Russia.

American males have to sign-up once we turn 18 by law, but we probably will never be drafted to fight a war.
I am also American, and had to do this, but the process is automatic as once you register to vote, you essentially are automatically registered into the draft system (Selective Service). However, it was kind of a joke for somebody like me, as I would have needed a waiver to enlist because of my psychiatric disease and psychiatric waivers are practically impossible to get even if I had wanted to join the military.
