Is the socioeconomic situation that lead to many men finding it difficult to find a mate, engineered to reduce the population?

The very dynamics of "dating" and attracting a mate in this day and age are totally unnatural. Now all the pressure is on the male to be as physically attractive as possible, "bold" and "charming" to maximize his chances, to take the initiative. Obviously over the years the situation has degenerated down to mostly looks being the most important factor, but nevertheless.

So now a large part of the male population, if not incels, at the very least have trouble finding a mate. So they spend a lot of money on "improving themselves" thus fueling industries, working harder (hoping to attract a mate that way), only to make the rich richer and to pay the state more tax money. All these benefits for society, all this productivity, sweat and blood, squeezed out of desperate males. And yet many of them will still end up dying alone, without any offspring.

Seems awfully orchestrated. Allowing women to choose their mates based on their hedonistic, momentary desires, a.k.a the current "dating" culture, was the cause of misery for so many men. But it's not like this wasn't known by those in power, for thousands of years the status quo was different for a reason.

there is the economic industrial aspect, but women are definitely loving this state of affairs as it is

as early as the world wars you had the increased independence from women entering the workforce to make up for men out on the frontline, immediately capitalized on by getting voting rights, then more and more rights, the pill, the laws that make sure they're never wrong.
they loved it all the way and they are loving it now, sure a certain (((tribe))) played a big part, but it's mostly just women getting their cake since the 1910s.

Yes, you're right. It was Pandora's box. And once it was opened, it's irreversible. I think that along with all the things you said, technology also played a big part. It changed humanity's lifestyle considerably, now we are in an unnatural state where our lives aren't dictated by our needs, by nature, but by the rich and powerful seeking to exploit the common man as much as possible. And that's why the system is the way it is today, because while it's shit for us, it's great for them.

It's the consequence of the "invisible hand" of market forces driving the development of technology which in turn spurs social change.
