I believe Israel will be destroyed trying to achieve this goal.
Gaza couldn't receive much support due to being beseiged by Israel but Syria is quite accessible.
I believe some war is going to happen between Syria and Israel in the future and a Global Jihad will happen were the entire muslim world will fight against Israel.
Plus we have a gov rebuilding the country and rebuilding an actual volunteer army.

They really dropped the ball by not securing the border with Israel first and then by not securing the countries SAMS, jets and other assets aswell as naval bases.
