It's a complete delusion. There's no overarching patriarchy that controls society, not even close. We have females at all levels of government. Women can vote. Women can do and say whatever they want without repercussion. (within legal bounds obviously) Women are on equal (becoming higher as the modern world chugs along) footing with men now.
