I’ve always been able to tell when my friends or other women around me are on their periods because there’s a specific scent that I can smell if they walk past me or sit close to me. It’s not really a good smell either (which is expected and totally fine because it’s blood and uterine lining and tissue

I've never been close enough to a female to be able to smell this, but it sounds like it's probably true.
