It is true but the problem many many people have no idea what biological evolution is. The dont have the basic knowledge. This starts with knowing what biological evolution actually is.

Evolution, alone, means "change over time" , but biological evolution means changes in the frequencies of different genes throughout an entire species OR just a population of a species e.g. Humans or tigers or whatever.

So when you have a population of humans and there 50% with gene A and 50% of the population with gene B and and after some time this has changed, you call it evolution. When e.g. it changes to 55% with gene A and 45% with gene B. Or if it changes to 60% gene A, 20% gene B and 10% gene C (because of a mutation).

When you understand that you will realize that is not something you believe in but it is a word you use to describe a specific type of change through time. Pretty simple actually.

Why it changes can have many reasons. Sexual selection for example. If there is a gene that makes a man tall and it becomes more and more common, then that is evolution. Because the frequency is changing.

I’m a conservative Christian, and it does provide a lot of hope against the extremely dark and toxic culture that is current today with dating and relationships. In fact most of the traditions surround marriage is from Christianity. And it’s only recent the US pop media has completely abandoned it. There are faithful arguments that can explain different theories of a creationist viewpoint within Christianity, but for the most part evolutionary biology is still just theory.
