They were gonna bench Mbappe next season that’s why he left.
Also look at Neymar, Messi, and Ramos. Even with all three they couldn’t win a single international title. They have a small club mentality they’re not meant for anything outside of their farmer’s league.

It’s funny how both Ligue 1 and Bundesliga have outstanding youth academies and produce world class players but only the latter has domestic clubs that actually win major titles on a regular basis.
