Normies follow the just-world theory. Because they are successful in life, they believe it is because of their hard work. Which is false. It is because of their genetics. This idea contradicts their entire life narrative. They need to hammer down that "anyone can do it" and they need to "be positive" in order for it to happen to others. This accomplishes two things: 1) Reaffirms their own self delusions and 2) Gets them to shut up.
