I mean yes the wages are lower but its not like you will need much money if its truly over for you. Find a job in a lab running something like water quality tests or material analysis. Most of these don't require a degree and the ones that do don't pay any better. All you do is run the same two machines over and over and nobody talks to you unless you get an abnormal reading. That's true for most SDE roles ypu do need high iq but there are also many skills in thr IT field that can be learnt by the average IQ normie with a lot of hard work and dedication. If you have a strong work ethic and are willing to put in the hours. Almost anyone can become a sys admin or pen tester. The pay isn't as high as software developmental roles but it's still very above average
