Why don't Iran don't just blow up it's nuclear plant? The wind would affect countries around it, including Israel which is relatively close.

(Israel is striking the nuclear plants but modern plants are designed with safety in mind, so it's not simple as blowing it up with explosions)

Iran has no air superiority anyway, this is probably their final solution, one that doesn't even require a invasion or even missiles into Israel soil.

Diplomatically they could also blame it on Israel

With the blow Syrians did to Iran's influence they have no choice but to maintain "cordial" relationships with surrounding nations.
Iran loves to influence other countries with covert actions or overt by arming Shia proxies but they always like to maintain plausible deniability.
So going Samson option would hurt them and then Gulf countries and other countries would turn on them.
How they would punish Iran I dunno.

You also have to understand Iran and Israel don't actual hate each other that much like I discussed in another thread.
Basically, they use each other as a Strawman for a lack of a better term. They need those enemies lest their own subjects realize how corrupt their leaders are in Israel and Iran they always do religious colonial projects to distract from such things.

Nuclear reactors are much safer than people imagine, tons of lessons were learned from both Chernobyl (human error) and Fukushima (natural disasters). It's very unlikely any sort of reactor malfunction, including an attack, would lead to the same fallout Chernobyl had.
