I think the psychological part makes a big difference. Think about it, if you constantly believe that your mind is rotting, then won’t your mind oblige that thought?

I say that because I feel like whatever passive loss from disuse pales in comparison to active loss from abusing drugs such as alcohol, benzos, or Adderall, or training/stimulating your brain in a nonproductive way that many normies do. Algebra, proofs, and various discrete mathematics (ie. boolean algebra, logic).

But programming is much easier for me. I never advanced past basic math in school, didn't care back then.
