Do you feel that you are part of a national community? Do you wish to support this national community or even sacrifice yourself for it? If so, why? If not, why?

My answer is that I never really believed in the concept of Nation, even back when I believed in white nationalism. I guess that makes me a wandering Jew kek... I don't believe in the possibility of true solidarity between millions of people, and indeed so far such a solidarity has always been greatly artificial, because supported by State coercion.

I actually even find the idea of Nation extremely dangerous, a meat grinder of terrifying proportions... Thinking about all the lives wasted in WW1 and 2 for fictions ("France", "Germany", "Russia") that won't even exist two centuries from now makes me sick. I would die for ideals but never for a country.

It is proper to want to defend one's nation and culture but only in so far as both are worth defending. Race is of the spirit before it is of the body. Defending the body alone while the spirit is rotting is sort of pointless, and a nation build on bad values is hardly capable of inspiring one to commit to it's defense.

That said, some cultures and races don't seem to care about any of this. Tribalism seems to run supreme for some groups and it comes to a point where one may have to stand up for their own group out of mere need for survival. I think that is what is fueling a lot of the nascent nationalism among whites, even among people who see the arguments of white nationalism as fundamentally flawed.

I do agree they're good copes. If they weren't, they wouldn't be so popular.

On the other hand, a sufficient study of history and philosophy reveals them as transparent absurdities, and altruism in general as largely hypocritical or self-serving. True altruistic acts are possible but are exceedingly rare. Most normies who think they "contribute to society" actually do so for their own selfish benefit.

I've been to ~20 europeans countries and several more "exotic" destinations, like the US and the russian far east and I've never actually wanted to stay in any of those places, even though most had an objectively better economy and society than my second world shithole.

At the end of the day, after all the memes are expended, the people that live in my country, the surrounding nature, architecture, lifestyle, language, culture, outlooks, humor and even the fucking local brands in the stores is what's familiar to me- it's my world and what molded me into a person, basically. All the daydreams and nostalgia that are holding my sanity together are tied to this place. I fundamentally have more in common with the biggest balkan chad than I do with some foreign incel. In that sense, every attempt at radical change to or attack against the environment is a direct attack on my sense of "self" and I might as well throw my useless life trying to maintain that environment, since its destruction means the destruction of my "self"- both in a psychological and corporeal regard.
