When I used to be in the top 3 postmaxers, I would be in my room most of the day. Too agoraphobic to go out, had no life experience, and had no career. All I did was spend 6+ hours on this site postmaxing and playing video games.

Once I got permanently banned, it gave me a break from this site. Within that time frame, I’ve built social skills, kick started a career, no longer have anxiety, and got my first house at 20 years old. I’ve made plenty of mistakes as well, (that I’m still paying for), but I’ve learned from them and came out stronger.

Sure, I didn’t get laid. But I also didn’t spend the next 5 years in my room on this site getting nowhere.

TLDR: It’s good to be cautious and aware while also not letting it dictate your life.

Personally speaking, getting a gf is the least of my issues rn. Getting a SINGLE FRIEND irl is just as impossible despite me being NT, simply because I'm unattractive and introverted aka the worst combination possible of bad social traits. With 0 social life you are likely to get driven into further depression and rotting with no way out other than actually getting what you want, which seems unlikely for the overwhelming majority of users here. Also the fact that in the rare ocassion I could get friends, I'd most likely get treated as subhuman garbage and just be used for laughs aka the clown of the group, there's simply no winning. If I could somehow get a gf/wife too, I'll either get cucked or divorce raped into oblivion.

very few people here straight up tell others to give up and do nothing. there is a lot of complaining going on, but that's a given due to the nature of our lives and motivating yourself to go out and improve is difficult when you are stuck in such a predicament. some of us might be too jaded due to negative life experiences and developed a hatred for people as a result (I know this is true for me), with no way to recover from that sense of bitterness.
