Fuck. Ever since i was little I hated the idea of having kids. I NEVER wanted one day to be a father. I would accept to get beheaded or starved to death than raise a kid. The Idea of raising kids and passing genetics is unappealing to me

It's because of maslow's hierarchy of needs. Seeking fulfillment and a greater purpose in life is something that happens after your basic needs are filled.

You can't really care about wanting to start a family or having a fulfilling job if you are starving or dying of thirst.

The line is a bit blurred here though because having a relationship and having sex are often part of the same thing and usually we naturally associate them together.
