Now I hold a job for almost 10 years but before it was almost impossible. There were insane competition, even for bottom of the barrel dead end jobs like fast food worker or car salesman. They would fire you after a couple of days or weeks for bizarre reason, I hate boomer employers with passion.
In Eastern Europe we strive for cozy government jobs most of the time.

I know people who started to work in their thirties because no one wanted to hire them. But almost all of them had girlfriends.

Careermaxxing is the biggest waste of time. There is no job security you are disposable and can fired at anytime for the stupidest shit. You either have capital or you will be a slave forever. Very similar to looks, you either have it or you don’t. And if you don’t have it you should just give up

I got fired once from my first ever job, I was a minor. Thankfully it hasn't happened since.
 
Funny I got fired from any low end job I ever had - but no one told me.

No one REALLY told me, I got no paper no nothing, no call.

They just simply said "I call you once we need your help again" and I just like...never visited the place again and that was basically it.

No. That didn't really happen.

I had like 12 jobs between 19 and 22 yo.

I got laid off of all of them with no Letter, no phone call.

I never really was even interested in doing ANY of these jobs. I just did it for obviously minimum wage which I consider below me (or below most people).

I got usually laid off by "Well call you again" and they never did so I never went to that place or called them.

I guess I was too lazy lol? But hey so were they.

Surprisingly I still have a few things from these jobs, Uniform I never paid for (the coorp paid for them) I even found a spare key to the store that I used to work for in logistics.

Its the backdoor key. Lol, I could have went there at night a d invaded the place. Of course they have cameras and there is nothing I would want anyway.

It's also funny how naive and gullible some of my employees were.

I once worked for an art store and the manager showed me ALL of the secret Codes and how to disable the entire security system first week I worked there as a helper for 450€.

Like...I dont know what some people are thinking.
 
I've never been fired because I'm high inhibition and say yes to everything that's asked of me.
 
I've been fired a lot in the past. Usually it's due to my low IQ, but on a few occasions I was fired because I made the mistake of standing up for myself.

Where I live it's like this. I work in fast food and we hire less than 10 percent of the people who apply. Not only that but now all new hires are part time only. I'm one of the "lucky ones" that gets to work full time.

Where I live it's like this. I work in fast food and we hire less than 10 percent of the people who apply. Not only that but now all new hires are part time only. I'm one of the "lucky ones" that gets to work full time.

It's a bit better now but 10 years ago there were 600 applicants for slaving at the hotel.

They used to fire me if I only made 100 euros for them that day and not 150 like they intended. Or when it's a paycheck time I would be called upon in order to review my position and abilities LOL.
