Simple enough thread. Post what you're looking for and others can give advice.

Copes, computers, guns, whatever...

I'll start. I'm looking for a civilian hiking pack with the following specs:
1. 30-40L capacity
2. Must have a waste strap and chest strap
3. YKK zippers
4. Top zipper compartment, and two side water bottle pouches
5. Optional - load lifter straps, and compression straps

Price is not a budget.

I've done my research, and I'm set on either an Osprey or a Tatonka manfuacture.... but idk which. I've used military packs all my life (TT Tiger Raid and Trooper, Gerber Grasp, Platatac ECHO, Eberlestock Gunslinger II), and they are very durable, but are very uncomfortable. Trying to carry less in a civvie pack.

Anyone with hiking experience give me some suggestions?

Two of my friends have Osprey packs and they rave about them.
