I agree. Also the chaotic nature of his attack is typical for a school shooter. In many individuals who act out their plan it is noted that their behavior made no sense and that they lost touch with reality. Everyone normally knows just by watching movies as a kid that you cant blow open a heavy wood door with an improvised explosive device constructed in that way. It should have been clear to him that by using his black powder shotgun loads he could have never breached through the door. Its no secret that in germany synagogues are heavily protected which gets mainly funded by the state. Even if he managed to get in there. There probably would have been heavily armored doors at the entrance of their preaching hall. And even on the way to that there probably are more doors.
