It just popped into my head recently, based on insane rumours my neighbours were spreading about me and my family I can totally see this happening back then:

4. Go to camp, in stressful enviroment everyones instinctive hatred of sub5 men kicks in, other prisoners are taking it out on you for their
situation, guards always single you out when it comes to punish prisoners for something

5. Allies bomb supply lines, die of typhoid or starvation or whatever

There were camps, they were just regular prisons/captive camps, they didn't have goofy shit like gas showers and electric floors but that doesn't mean that you'd want to end up there, especially as sub5 (or any other prison ever for that matter), and especially not towards later time in the war.
