This is the golden rule in the West right now.
As a man, you need to be among the absolutely best in whatever you're doing to get any sort of validation and recognition for what you're doing.
You need to be elite and at least in contention to be the best. Like for example if you're doing some sport, you need to be at least some sort of local champion or win some local competition. Otherwise you might just as well LDAR because you will be seen as the same disposable loser of a man as some LDAR-ing NEET..
The same thing with education or earning money. You need to be the smartest guy around or one of the top earners around. Otherwise no one will give a shit about you.
In the era of internet and information being around the corner, you need to constantly mog other men in whatever you're doing to get any type of attention.
Imagine wasting your time and effort training some sport only to end up being a journeyman, like playing football in some lower-tier semi-professional league - it still takes a lot of effort to get there but you're still a nobody. You trained like an idiot all your youth for nothing. If anything, people can use that against you and joke like "yeah, he was just some third division player". They will remind you that you worked hard but you shit genes stopped you from being on the level of elite players who mogged you.
Or wasting your time trying to perfect playing some instrument hours a day only to end up completely mediocre compared to the very best in your country. People will be like, "oh you play piano? So can my little sister."
In the West, being second is the same as being the last. Only the winners count these days when men are disposable.
It's the same thing in the dating game. Either you're the best man around or you're a literal nobody. It can be compared to MMA where Conor McGregor earned tens of millions while the average UFC fighter gets 20k a fight (some of them aren't even paid enough to cover the training and medical expenses). Imagine how hard it is to get to the UFC and you're still a nobody for people if you're not on McGregor level. Well it's the same in dating. Even if you're like 7/10 you still only get scraps.
If you're sub8 man in the West it's not even worth trying to figure out the dating game because you will never be the best. The work you will put into it will never pay off.
It is very brutal out there, we literally became a winner takes all type of society in every single aspect of life.
