Been said a bunch before but what a load of bollocks.
What is a personality? A manifestation of multiple aspects creating a persona...or something like that.
When you're told to improve your personality what they mean is look better physically, preferably in the face.
An attractive person can be the biggest piece of shit & still have excuses made for them or apparently they can change yet an ugly person no matter how much good they do or try to improve upon will always be subliminally compared to something negative like a kiddy diddler or rapist.
An attractive person starts in credit with others giving them the benefit of the doubt associating them with positivity & it will take a lot of repeated negative events before the person calls time on them realising they are in fact bad, compare this with an ugly person starting in debt that off the bat is seen as creepy or some other negative shit, assuming the first hurdle is passed & they're given a "chance" it will take a bunch of good acts before they're seen in a positive light by others.
A physically imposing person will have ppl on edge; worried about getting on his bad side while a weak small looking person will get ppl trying to impose their will on him.
Think pitbull v kitten except the kitten isn't considered cute.
Let's stop for a moment & take looks out of the equation, imagine one of those rare cases whereby someone is average or below & they do improve their personality to get results. That is not the norm & was a super human feat as the fact is ppl do not change. You're pretty much moulded into your ways once you're out of adolescence & that's your personality based on genetic predetermination & the environment you grew up in based on the culture & how you was treated by others.
A person can become smarter, calmer, change their opinion on matters but not really change their core being except maybe a blow to the head that changes brain chemistry/damage.
So if you grew up neglected/rejected, bullied, taught bad habits, shunned or whatever how are you supposed to just forget all those experiences to become a bright, happy, assertive, funny, charming, confident socially suave individual if you were not given any reason, motive or chance to?
People do not change, just act bro'. Fake it 'til you make it then become worn down pretending all the time & ppl look on in horror saying you've changed when you have no energy left to put on the charade any more & watch how they leave.
No wonder sociopaths/psychopaths climb to the top of society or end up in death row as serial killers, their whole life is spent manipulating others like it's a game, truly a spider in human form, cold, calculating, empty inside having to fill the void with a personal satisfaction of power over others, of course they know how to behave around others to get what they want, brilliant actors.
